Jewish Buenos Aires Tours

Argentine Inspirations

Our History

Rabbi Ernesto Yattah, born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina, started offering Tours of Jewish Buenos Aires in the year 2002.

Since then, he has led hundreds of tours --private, shared and institutional, introducing thousands of travelers to the Argentine Jewish community.

His tours have become legendary, as his guests have been recommending them, mainly by word of mouth to family and friends and through TripAdvisor to other world travelers.

About JBA Tours and Ernesto Yattah
About JBA Tours and Ernesto Yattah

We believe that Jewish life in Argentina has to be understood within the larger contexts of Jewish history and Argentine history, and always in relationship to Latin American history and World history.

Our philosophy

Jewish Buenos Aires is not just a chapter in Argentine history. It’s a living testimony of resilience, creativity, and hope. It’s a city where Jewish immigrants arrived with nothing and built communities, synagogues, schools, businesses, and dreams. My name is Ernesto Yattah, and I’m a rabbi, a teacher, and a guide. I created JBA Tours not only to show the Jewish side of Buenos Aires — but to reveal its soul. When you walk the streets with me, you’re not just learning dates and facts. You’re stepping into a story. A story of survival and revival. A story that includes spiritual brilliance and social engagement, but also tragedy and silence. We visit synagogues, memorials, neighborhoods — but above all, we open the heart. People often tell me that after the tour, they feel more connected to their Jewish identity, more inspired to learn, more awake to their own story. The beauty of Jewish Buenos Aires is not only in the architecture or the history. It’s in the courage of those who came here fleeing persecution. It’s in the memory of those we lost in the AMIA bombing. It’s in the voices of teachers, dreamers, rebels, poets, rabbis. Through this tour, I invite you to experience not just a city, but a spiritual journey. A reflection of who we are as a people and as human beings — and who we still might become.
